Kanaan & Tilney: The Case of the Undead Wood

Holy crap, guys, the third book in the Kanaan & Tilney series is finally out! This one took a little longer than the last two for us to write, but we had so much fun writing it. We hope you all enjoy it! You can order it at any of these places. Look below for the cover and synopsis as well as info on the blog tour.

Praeternaturals—people with paranormal powers—all over Boston know Lowell Kanaan and John Tilney for their discretion and forthrightness as private detectivzes. They’re also about to move in together, and John seems to be dragging his feet for reasons Lowell can’t fathom. Personal worries are quickly put aside, however, when they get a top-priority case: someone has introduced a blight into the Terran Garden, a kind of living graveyard for dormant Terrans who’ve become one with trees.

Most blights don’t cause trees to start craving human flesh, but somehow, this one has, and one Gardener is already dead. If Lowell and John can’t navigate the back-channels of Terran politics and secrecy quickly enough, more dead will certainly follow. Accusations abound: a Necromorph revenge plot, a widower’s anger, a friend’s jealousy, political maneuvering, or simply an ugly accident. The only thing that’s clear is the carnage will get worse until Lowell and John discover who introduced this new blight and why they’d desecrate sacred Terran ground.

Just when Lowell was starting to think he’d seen it all… foliage zombies.

For sneak peeks, a quiz to find out which supernatural faction you'd fit into, and a giveaway, follow the blog tour. It starts today at XTreme Delusions with a plot excerpt. Next week it moves to My Fiction Nook, Joyfully Jay, Love Bytes, Books Tattoos and Tea, and Great Ace Club, where the first book in the series if their free book of the month!

Holy crap, it's an update

Man, am I terrible at keeping this updated or what? I’ve always been bad at social media when it comes to posting my own stuff instead of just reblogging somebody else’s. I'm sure some of you can relate.

But, yes!

Book 3 of Kanaan & Tilney’s sleuthing adventures is incoming. It’s got a cover and a title and all that’s left is a thousand rounds of edits. You know, the fun stuff. More info about the book, like, you know, what the title actually is, and what it’s about (minor details, right?), will be coming soon, so keep a look out. I can’t wait to share it with all of you! All I can say right now is the cover is gorgeous and we did some research on Cordyceps for this one.

Also, my co-author, Katey Hawthorne, will be at Coastal Magic Con February 20th-23rd. Say hi if you see her! She’ll have some Kanaan & Tilney goodies to give away.
